The nature scenes are described so vividly that you can feel the water on your skin, see the bright colours of the fish and the coral that grows in the West Indies waters, the sun on your face and smell of the ocean on the light tropical breeze.
The playfulness and the passion between Tate and Matthew has you smiling, frustrated and hurt along with them. Nora Roberts really gave this book her best with the way she paints the tropical pictures and the emotional rollercoaster between Tate and Matthew.
I could feel the excitement, shock and hurt with each character and am happy to say that Van Dyke was very easy to pity and hate. The book has an easy flow from the start, that keeps you intrigued and excited to read on.
There were times when it was really hard to put the book down but I had to make dinner unfortunately. Each chapter with its vivid descriptions of the tropical waters and breathtaking ocean life had me yearning to be there. After this book I made a promise to myself one day I will have a boat of my own. Fingers crossed. This book was truly a magical escape from the real world to tropical waters; I absolutely loved every chapter of this book.
Strengths: The vivid descriptions of the tropical waters and scenes.
Weaknesses: Was at times too predictable.
