During Hitler’s rise to power in 1933 William E. Dodd became America’s first ambassador. Modest professor Dodd moves with his wife, son and beautiful daughter Martha to Berlin. Enchanted by the parties and attractive young men of the Third Reich Martha indulges in one affair after another including with Rudolf Diels the first chief of the Gestapo.
