I recommend buying it
An absolutely brilliant camera! Shots are clear even at 100%! Other cameras tend to require resizing, thats why a high megapixel is necessary but with the 550D viewing the full 18 megapixel image is sharp. Video is also clear at 1080p and is fit for small film projects (You can also record 720p and 60fps which is ideal for slow motion). The only downside is the eventual overheating issue which forces video clips to a certain length. Recording in small clips though can resolve this. Auto focus is fast and accurate and low light conditions are manageable for both still images and video. One thing to note is that memory cards need to be a certain class to record video and get shots quickly.A great camera all round! Strengths: Crystal clear imagery Fast auto focus
