The Asus Eee Pad Transformer is what we've been waiting for - a tablet that can truly replace a netbook or ultra-portable laptop. With the keyboard disengaged, it's a slim, fairly light tablet with a great screen and touchscreen. With the dock in-tow, it's a typing demon whose battery will outlast almost any laptop you can find

Strengths: High-quality IPS display Excellent keyboard integration Great design and value

Weaknesses: Honeycomb-optimised apps are sparse Android 3.0 is a tad buggy No standard USB slot on tablet unless you buy the keyboard/dock

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 distinguishes itself from the sea of emerging Honeycomb tablets with its aggressive pricing, and an optional accessory that turns it into a virtual notebook

Strengths: Currently the most affordable Honeycomb tablet. Speedy Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. Honeycomb features strong multitasking, e-mail and calendar notifications. HDMI out for HD video and mirroring. R1500 odd keyboard dock accessory turns the tablet into a virt

Weaknesses: Honeycomb interface can be cluttered. Virtual keyboard is slightly modified and doesn't handle predictive text well

In short: brilliant - shame I can't give it more than 5 stars. WebAntics did their normal "great price and delivery" thing. Summary: everything I hoped it would be and more. Also - as a final note: you do get the idea that asus didn't cut any corners here - there's 2 usb ports on the dock (where 1 would've sufficed) - there's matching texture on the dock and back of the tablet (probably didn't have to do that either) - the dock's got little rubber feet to locate it and prevent scratching, .... all that extra effort really mounts up to a bit of kit that feels like it's properly pinned together rather than hurried out at the cheapest price point possible. Well done Asus!

Strengths: Tablet is great in the hand - LOVELY clear screen, fast, smooth, honeycomb is a joy, the keyboard / dock is great - works a treat - I've had a queue of people at my desk this am wanting to have a play (and that's with it being merely bluetooth tethered

Weaknesses: The bit where the tablet attaches to the dock is metal rather than plastic, and they could've probably shave a few grms off it and 1/2ed the battering in the dock and no-one would've complained
